Who Can See My MyFitnessPal Diary if I Make It Public?

When you set your MyFitnessPal diary to "public," your coaching team and any friends you’ve added on MyFitnessPal will be able to see your full food entries. This includes all meals, snacks, and portions you’ve logged. If you’re comfortable with this, it’s a great way to give your coaching team a detailed look at your nutrition to provide better feedback and support.
It’s important to note that "public" in MyFitnessPal doesn’t mean the entire internet can see your diary. Only those with access to your profile—like your friends on MyFitnessPal or your coaching team—can view your entries.
What If I’m Not Comfortable Making It Public?
No problem! If you prefer to keep your diary private, your coaching team will still be able to see your total calories and macros for each day through the app. However, we won’t have access to your specific food entries (e.g., what you ate for breakfast, lunch, or dinner). While this limits the level of detail we can assess, it won’t stop us from helping you stay on track.
How to Decide?
Set to Public: If you’re okay with your coaching team and MyFitnessPal friends seeing your full diary, it helps us provide more specific guidance on your food choices.
Keep It Private: If you prefer more privacy, we’ll still track your overall calorie and macro totals and support your progress.
Your comfort is the priority—choose the option that works best for you and let your coach know!
