When Should I Have My Snacks?

In your meal plans, you’ll notice a section dedicated to snacks.

These are designed to be flexible, allowing you to use them between meals or after meals, depending on your hunger levels. If you find yourself getting hungry between meals, grab a snack to keep your energy steady and avoid overeating later. Alternatively, if you feel satisfied after a meal but want something later in the day, your snack can fit perfectly there too. The goal is to listen to your body and use snacks to stay on track without feeling deprived.
Protein Shake Guidelines
If your snack list includes a protein shake, here’s how to use it effectively:
Post-Workout Use
Have your protein shake immediately after your workout if you’re not eating a full meal right after. This helps kick-start muscle recovery and replenishes your body quickly.
Alternative Uses
If you’re having a meal shortly after your workout, skip the post-workout shake and use it instead:
As a snack between meals.
After a meal if you need extra protein to meet your macros.
Before bed to keep your body fueled overnight.
