Meal Prepping Guide

Meal Prepping should not take more than an hour at a time. Follow the step below for a faster and more effective meal prep. If it is taking you longer at first, do not get discouraged. With practice, you'll master it!

WARNING: When you poke holes in the pan, make sure to double stack with another pan that does not have the holes so that the grease from meats goes into the second layer of the pan. Do not use only one pan with holes in it - will make a mess in the oven.

What You'll Need:

  • Oven: Your primary cooking tool. 🧙‍♂️

  • Pan: Choose between a reusable pan 🌍 or a one-time use pan for convenience🎈.

  • Plastic or Glass Containers: For storing your prepped meals. 📦

  • Timer: You can use your phone for this.📲

💡Details on pans and containers, as well as recommended options are at the bottom of this Guide.

Step-by-Step Magic Meal Prep:

🥩 Step 1: Preparation (10-15 minutes)

  • Preheat the oven: 375°F (190°C) is a great choice.

  • Cut the Meats and Potatoes: Begin by cutting your meats and potatoes into your preferred sizes. This step is for ensuring even cooking.

  • Arrange in the Pan: Place the cut meats and potatoes into your chosen pan. If you're using vegetables, remember they cook faster and will need their own timer.

You can use a zero calorie oil spray on the pan to avoid stickiness (depending on the type of pan you are using)

👨‍🍳 STEP 2: Cooking (20-25 minutes) (You can do whatever around the house during this step)

  • Oven Time: Place the pan inside the over. Set a timer for 20-25 minutes. If you're including vegetables, set a separate timer for them as they typically require less time.

  • Relax: While your food is in the oven, there's not much for you to do. Just ensure you have your timer on, and you're good to go.

📦 STEP 3: Storing (5 minutes)

  • For Disposable Pan Users: Once your meats and potatoes are cooked, we recommend transferring the meats to a separate plate to allow them to cool down. This step helps to separate them from the fat. After cooling for about 10-15 minutes, move them into containers.

  • For Reusable Pan Users: If you opt for a reusable pan, simply let the meats cool down and transfer them to containers afterwards.

Pan Options:

  • Reusable Pan: Eco-friendly and cost-effective over time. Requires cleaning after use but is a great choice for those looking to reduce waste as well as getting rid of fat from the meat while cooking. With this pan the fat will drop below the flat rack while cooking. You will need 2-3 of those:

I have linked 2 options below:

Price - $30 each | Link - Tap Here

My notes - It is higher on the price, but also higher in quality. This is a long term investment

rack pan

Price - $18 each | Link - Tap Here

My notes - Affordable price and will do the job. Might be harder to clean that the first one

  • One-Time Use Pan: Offers the ultimate convenience as there's no need to wash up after cooking. Ideal if you are on the tight schedule and are doing the dish washing yourself.

I have linked the ones that I use:

Container Options:

  • Plastic Reusable Compartment Containers: Very easy to use and stack on top of each other. This is a great option. The only downside is that you will wait for the food to cool down before you store them in those.

💡 If your meal plan does not call for coconut oil or olive oil, use an oil spray instead.
